•Requires a High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
•Must successfully pass a ten-year background and employment check and obtain a SIDA badge.
•Requires a minimum of 6 months supervisory/lead experience
•Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
•Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
•Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
•Retail, cash handling, and customer service experience preferred

This job contributes to Starbucks/HMS Host and Palazzo Concessions success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys partners and delegates tasks so that partners can create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks/HMS Host and Palazzo Concessions guiding principles.
The Shift Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigning responsibility for specified work and/or functional activities; assisting in scheduling to ensure that all shifts are covered; assisting management in covering and running shifts; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the HMS Host Store Manager / Assistant Store Managers. Also, the CEO and President of Palazzo Concessions.
•Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks/HMS Host and Palazzo Concessions
•Assists other sales associates to maximize sales and customer service through coaching, counseling and mentoring
•Resolves all customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind
•Administers all point of sale opening and closing procedures in accordance with corporate policy
•Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required
•Assumes responsibility for effective communication, coordination, and working relationships between associates and management
•Follows and promotes customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
