    Directions to the Center:

     

    BART:

    Exit the BART station into the International Terminal. Walk to the information booth. Turn left to the 1st hallway marked "Business and Career Center."


    Driving:

    Park in the International Parking Garage G.

    Take the elevator to the 7th floor, take AirTrain (Red Line) to the International Terminal G side, one stop over. Exit the train, take the escalator down, go the Information Booth and ask for directions to the Business and Career Center.

     

    Discover the fascinating and intricate designs of the baggage system at San Francisco International Airport. As an unjammer, you will monitor and regulate the flow of baggage and the conveyor belt system to ensure the smooth delivery of passenger luggage.

    Qualifications

    •Must successfully pass a ten year background check.
    •Must submit to and pass a drug screen and fingerprints.
    •Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
    •+1 year experience in working in a technical environment a plus.
    •Technically inclined, customer oriented with potential to learn and grow into maintaining baggage handling systems.
    •Must have some basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
    •Must be proficient in communicating, reading and writing in the English language.
    •Must be physically able to lift and transport 50 lbs.
    •Must be detail oriented, innovative, self assured and stress resistant.
    •Must posses a valid CA Driver's License.

    Responsibilities

    Primary responsibilities:

    •Monitors and maintains luggage conveyor system.
    •Physically rearrange baggage to prevent or relieve jams on the conveyors.

    Other responsibilities include:
    •Exercises safe working practices at all times.
    •Performs inventory counts.
    •Assists with technical and other work as required.
    •Controls Room Monitoring of the system.
