  • Overview

     

    A Taxi Dispatcher regulates the flow of taxicabs through the dispatch system at the San Francisco International Airport.  This position provides a high level of customer service to patrons at taxi stands, monitors the performance of taxicabs and ensures compliance to the Airport Rules and Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Must successfully pass 10-year background check.
    • Must submit to and pass a drug screen and fingerprints.
    • Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
    • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
    • Must be proficient communicating, reading and writing in English language.
    • Must have some work experience in a customer service industry.
    • A minimum of 2-year experience in a fast-pace customer-oriented environment preferred.
    • Must enjoy working with the general public.
    • Must have the ability to work effectively as a team player.
    • Must be flexible and available to work all schedules when necessary.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provides assistances to patrons at taxi stands and passengers with special needs.
    • Issue audit tickets as applicable to taxicabs accessing the system and being dispatched to terminals.
    • Collects tickets and dispatches taxicabs from staging lot to terminal taxi stands.
    • Reports any hazardous or unsafe conditions existing in the taxi work areas to management.
    • Monitors the performance of taxicab drivers to ensure procedures are being followed in accordance to standard operating procedures and Airport rules and regulations.
    • Notifies Supervisor of procedural violations and appropriate form.
    • Provides direction and answers a variety of questions from the traveling public.
    • Additional duties assigned by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
