  • Overview

    Compass Books in Terminal 3 at San Francisco International Airport is looking for full time booksellers to join our independent, general interest bookstore.  We are hiring for opening and closing shifts – must  have availability as early as 5 am and as late as 11pm, and be able to work weekends.

     

    Compass Books has been selling books to the approximately 4 million people per year who fly through Terminal 3 since 1998. 

    Qualifications

    • Must successfully pass a ten year background and employment check.
    • Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Must be punctual and dependable in attendance.
    • Must have recent retail experience, Bookselling experience preferred, but not required.
    • Must be able to accurately handle money and operate a POS system.
    • Must have great customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Must be efficient and resourceful with their time.
    • Schedule must be flexible, must be available to work as early as 5:00am, weekends and major holidays.

    Responsibilities

    Applicants must have superior customer service skills and knowledge of or eagerness  to learn about books.
