    Join a team that is committed to providing the best customer service to all guests and/or visitors of the San Francisco International Airport.   The San Francisco International Airport’s Guest Services Department is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator who exemplifies stellar customer service.  This is an essential role that will work directly with volunteers to provide the most up to date information on changes throughout the airport as well as other issues affecting guests, while continuously assessing volunteer needs and providing appropriate support.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Possess a High School Diploma.
    • Background in leading, managing, and developing customer-driven teams.
    • Knowledge of management principles and evaluation techniques.

    Skills and Minimum Requirements:

    • Essential to be detail oriented and well organized.
    • Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for maintaining and updating the Volunteer Information Binders at each Information Desk by performing in depth research and verifying validity of all information before release.
    • Provide support and assistance to the volunteer staff by ensuring frequent visits and consultations with volunteers.
    • Develop and manage policies, procedures, and standards of volunteer services.
    • Develop media display standards and ensure compliance at all desks.
    • Act as Guest Services liaison for design of future desk design requirements.
    • Assist in volunteer recruitment, screening and interviewing of volunteers.
    • Assist in onboarding experience and orientation for new volunteers.
    • Assist in conducting quarterly training sessions for all volunteers which will include-general information updates, iPad or tablet use, and providing customer support.
    • Manage provisioning at each desk, while assisting in ensuring orderliness and cleanliness of each desk.
    • Record and tabulate total numbers of passengers assisted on a weekly basis.
    • Modify or update content on volunteer SharePoint site.
    • Maintain volunteer program personnel files, ensuring they are orderly and up-to-date at all times.
    • Assist in badging process for all volunteers and conduct annual badging audit.
    • Assist volunteer staff in ensuring adequate desk coverage and development of schedules.
    • Assist in planning, implementation and operation of new technology or services at Information Desks.
    • Respond to questions from volunteers promptly to resolve ongoing issues.
    • Perform other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
