    Cargo Handling Company for multiple international and domestic airlines at the San Francisco International Airport.

    Overview

    Responsible to greet and assist customers and ensure proper documentation and communication, internally and externally, for operations.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Ensures all local airport, TSA, CBP and FAA rules are followed.
    Check documents for discrepancies and coordinate with Airline Customer in correcting the discrepancy.
    Prepare export/import documents for the flight and US Customs.
    Encode the data needed in the Airline Operating System for the daily flights within a given time frame.
    Assist customers with any inquiries they have using the Airline Operating System and AMS System.
    Pick up and drop off documents or special cargo at the plane for the daily flights.
    Process documents for the US Customs or any other government agency within a given time frame.
    Prepares invoices for charges, airline clients and management regarding freight.
    Works with government agencies to clear shipments for import.
    Recognizes dangerous goods upon receiving.
    Examines manifest, bills of lading and air waybill to determine work procedures for releasing cargo.
    Notifies consignee or representative concerning arrival dates of shipment, customs clearance requirements and tonnage shipment.
    Counter Entries.
    Tracing.
    Claims research.
    Customer Service.
    Maintain high standards of safety.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    *A high school diploma, GED or equivalent;

    *Must possess a VALID California Driver's License.

    *Must successfully pass a 10-year background and employment check.

    *Must submit and successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug screen and Fingerprints.

    *Some Air Cargo or Warehouse experience preferred but not required.

    *Must have the ability to lift and carry 75 pounds or more.

    *Must have very flexible schedule to cover delays
