  • Responsibilities


    Position Function:  Responsible for all customer sales interactions and greets all customers as they enter the store.   Duties include World Class Customer Service, cash handling including bank deposits, restocking of merchandise and communicating to the Terminal Manager and/or Shift Leads. Communication to the Terminal managers/Shift Leads about any products that ARDM is out of or other customer related requests. Works closely with Terminal Managers, Shift Leads and Managing Partners to ensure that the mission and vision of ARDM is well represented in the communities it serves. 


    Principal Accountabilities: (essential job functions)

    1. Customer Service/Sales – Greets all customers, must have strong knowledge of all ARDM products. Consistently follows the Nine Steps of Selling.  Informs the Terminal Managers and Shift Leads about any and all customer issues.  Follows up with customers as warranted/necessary.

    2. Register and Sales Floor Duties – Checks supplies and stock and replenishes as necessary. Ensures that cash register area and sales floor are kept clean and tidy during scheduled shift.  Is knowledgeable about how cash register operates, knows and follows cash handling policies. Responsible for keeping the Store Full, Clean and Recovered at all times. 

    3. Scheduling – Works scheduled shift as required and is flexible enough in their schedule to allow for additional shifts to fill the needs of the business. Understands that if it is not possible to work a scheduled shift they must make a reasonable attempt to get shift covered.


    The sales associate needs to be self-motivated, committed to the mission and vision of ARDM and have the ability to interact with all levels of the community from customers to store associates to Managing Members to vendors. Must be an excellent communicator, have a great sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail.


    Qualification Standards:  (skills/knowledge, experience, and education)

    1 + years previous salesperson/customer service experience which may be substituted by community volunteer or scholastic efforts which illustrated traits of an effective salesperson.
    Computerized cash register experience and inventory management experience preferred.
    Must be extremely organized and enjoy a sales environment.

    Physical /Environment Aspects: Dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, speaking, written and oral communication are a necessity. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.  This position requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
