EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED; and over one year up to and including three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS
- Valid California Driver’s License

- Knowledge of the California Labor Code
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements
- Data entry skills
- May occasionally be asked to run local errands.
- Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitors inbound traffic through radar system within assigned area in accordance with FAA procedures and contracted agencies.
Monitor frequency of arrival and departure traffic while simultaneously working with the FAA frequency to coordinate with our planning.
Ensure compliance with all airport and safety policies.
Maintain visual contact in the airfield area including ground traffic.
Communicate with appropriate airport agencies in regard to life guard trip flights (e.g., live organs), emergency landings (e.g., sick passenger), etc.
Keep track of flight departure time and send daily reports.
Update daily payroll in the ADP, submit bi-monthly payroll, timecards, monthly scheduling, and training materials.
Attend meetings with airport operations as required.
