Andale Management Group at SFO airport is looking for an experienced and professional Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of the restaurant. Must be able to provide support to all floor, bar, and kitchen staff. The Assistant Manager must have knowledge and experience in supervision and restaurant management. Must possess a good work ethic, and professionalism and be a team player.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Help FOH and BOH facilitate service by helping in all aspects of the operation, as needed
  • Be able to jump in and support all aspects of service (bar/floor/kitchen)
  • Must be able to ensure that all employees take their breaks
  • Must be able to make decisions on employee relations (disciplinary/corrective actions), as needed
  • Communicates to GM any operational needs ranging from staff issues and requests, guest comments, safety issues, etc.
  • Must be able to operate the POS system for updates, edits, and reports
  • Assist GM with schedules and other coverage needs
  • Reconcile bank tills and money drops from cash tills at the beginning and end of the service
  • Authority to make decisions concerning the front-of-the-house service to enable the flow of service to move efficiently, effectively, and successfully
  • Be the liaison between the FOH and the kitchen during rush hours, as needed
  • Ensures the FOH looks clean and attended to, and that side work needs are maintained consistently

This position will work on the restaurant floor in addition to office duties, including:

  • Input accounts payable invoices into Quickbook. Make sure items are categorize correctly
  • Assist with accounts receivable data entry and generate invoices for customers
  • Scan all the documents properly and save into the right folder
  • Assist Accountant in processing airline vouchers for reimbursement from airlines
  • May be called upon occasionally to perform other related tasks not included in this description

Qualifications

  • Must have at least two years of experience as a restaurant lead, supervisor, or manager
  • Must have experience managing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have open availability, including weekends and evenings
  • Must have solid communication skills
  • Must be familiar with different technology systems (Toast POS, Microsoft office)
  • Must have attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Must be proactive and a problem solver

Strongly Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Mexican and California food and beverage
  • Previous casual dining and/or similar hospitality experience
  • Must be well presented/groomed

Classification & Compensation:

  • Rate range: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
  • This is a regular full-time salaried
  • 401k program w/ matching

Supervision:

This position is supervised by the General Manager.

  • Must be able to physically stand and move during the length of shift, able to bend, kneel through the shift
  • Must be able to carry up to 25 or more pounds, as needed
