Overview of the Application Process

• Attend an information session to learn more about the FAMS position and hiring process
• Apply for the FAMS position
• Take a proctored computer-based test
• Participate in structured interviews to assess qualifications for the position
• Successful completion of assessment phase will result in scheduling of a Physical Training Assessment at a nearby training facility; workout clothing will be required
• Fingerprint capture
• Complete a medicalevaluation, federal drug screening and pre-hire background investigation soon after the event

Application Requirements

• Minimum three years of work experience, or bachelor’s degree or higher, or combination of education and experience.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, including a polygraph.
• Successfully pass a medical evaluation and a physical fitness assessment.
• At least 21 year of age at the time of application.
• Maximum age of 36 at the time of appointment (Preference eligible veterans may be permitted a waiver allowing for entry on duty prior to their 40th birthday).
