Overview

  • Buy and sell foreign currency in accordance with company policies and exchange rates
  • Accurately count, verify, and handle U.S. and foreign currency
  • Balance the cash drawer daily and report discrepancies
  • Verify customer identification and comply with AML, KYC, and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide professional and efficient customer service
  • Maintain a clean and secure work area
  • Follow all security and loss-prevention procedures

Responsibilities

  • Currency Exchange: Facilitate the buying and selling of various currencies for customers, ensuring accurate conversions based on current exchange rates. 
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, explaining exchange rates, and assisting customers with their currency needs. 
  • Transaction Accuracy: Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, maintaining detailed records of exchanges and verifying the validity of currency. 
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on current exchange rates and market trends to offer competitive rates and informed advice to customers. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to currency exchange, including customer identification and reporting suspicious transactions. 
  • Financial Products: In some roles, provide additional financial services such as selling traveler's checks, prepaid cards, or facilitating international money transfers. 
     
     

Qualifications

  • Must successfully pass a ten-year background and employment check.
  • Must submit to and pass a Drug screen and Fingerprints.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be able to pass SFO background and obtain an SFO badge through the badging program at SFO
  • Previous retail, cash handling, and/or banking experience is a plus.
